Cosmetic Bonding

Bonding is a technique, which is used in cosmetic dentistry for a variety of cosmetic dental procedures, which involve:

• filling small or medium sized cavities (white fillings)
• replacing amalgam fillings
• repairing broken teeth
• composite veneers

White fillings are liked by a large number of people because the material can match the shade and translucency of your own teeth and give a much better result than old amalgam fillings.

If you have large cavities in your teeth, bonding is not appropriate because the material does not have a strong enough structure over large parts; however it is suitable for smaller sized fillings or for repairing chipped teeth.
